Colonel Douglas Macgregor said that President Donald Trump is preparing a massive bombing campaign against Iran based on Israeli advice that could trigger catastrophic global consequences.
Macgregor claimed President Trump will attempt to launch what he described as "the final solution for Iran and bomb the place back into the Stone Age," following guidance from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Mossad head David Barnea rather than American advisors.
The colonel argued the U.S. is providing targeting assistance to Ukrainian drones attacking Russian civilian infrastructure from stations inside Baltic states, creating a dangerous escalation risk. He contended Russia has the right under UN Charter Article 51 to attack the source of these drone strikes if identified, which could trigger catastrophic confrontation.
Macgregor said Israel's goal in the current conflict is achieving "Greater Israel" through extensive American military support. "We're fighting to compel compliance with Israel's demands," he said, describing U.S. policy as subservient to Israeli objectives.
President Trump follows three rules from advisor Roy Cohn, Macgregor argued: always attack, always deny, and always claim victory regardless of reality. This approach has led Trump to reject advice from Tulsi Gabbard, Marco Rubio, John Ratcliffe, and General Keith Kellogg.
Singapore's foreign minister described the U.S. as a "revisionist power" and "disruptor" that is eroding the postwar international order, according to Macgregor. Rising fuel, food, and fertilizer costs due to the Iran conflict are triggering unrest across Asia as economic consequences spread globally.
Russia and China are strengthening their alliance in response to U.S. actions, with Russia assuring China of energy supplies, Macgregor said. He argued that Russian forces could quickly advance to capture Odesa and Kyiv if President Putin lifted his current restraint. "This government in Moscow wants nothing to do with an invasion of the Baltic states or anywhere else in central East Europe," Macgregor contended.
Macgregor rejected the characterization of Iran as a terrorist state, stating "The allegation that Iran is the leading state sponsor of terrorism in the world is nonsense." He added that "Iranians are not bloodthirsty animals contrary to what Mr. Trump thinks."
US intelligence findings still treat Russia as an "implacable enemy" bent on destroying the U.S., despite no evidence supporting this view, according to Macgregor.
